Situated on the shore of the Andaman Sea, Krabi forms one of the Southern most provinces of Thailand. The beautiful limestone cliffs make Krabi a world renowned destination for rock climbers. Local “hangers” at Ton Sai Beach offer organised marked and bolted climbs. More remote locations can be found which offer stunning views of Krabi and its surrounding areas.

Sea Kayaking

Explore the Mangrove forests, Lagoons and Sea Caves. Sea Kayaking is a fun way to see the archipelago of Krabi’s beautiful Islands and secluded beaches. Tiger Cave

In the jungles of Ao Luk lies Tiger Cave or locally known as Wat Tham Seua. If you are feeling energetic you can climb the 1,200 steps to its summit and take in the breath taking views across the Krabi province.

The Fossil Shell Cemetery

Ban Laem Cape is the home of the Fossil Shell Cemetery, the Cemetery is reported to be 75 million years old and represents layers between 1-2 meters thick of fossilised shells built up over the millions of years. The fossil site can be viewed up close by taking the walkway from the Park’s office. Ban Laem Cape is just a short distance from Ao Nang Beach and 15 minutes from Krabi Town.

Than Bok Khoranie National Park

Than Bok Khoranie National Park is the perfect place to pitch your tent and enjoy the beauty of Krabi’s natural botanical plant life, mangroves and Limestone caves. The authorities allow camping in the park but you must bring your own equipment.

Railay Beach

This beach is a jewel in the Andaman Sea, a must visit location if you are in the Krabi Province, its beautiful coastline of white golden sand is complemented by its dramatic backdrop of amazing limestone cliffs. The only way to access Railay Beach is by boat, which makes a visit there even more exciting. Hotels and resorts are located not far from the beach for those wishing to stay there.

Biking

If your looking to keep fit while seeing Krabi’s natural beauty then hiring a bike is a good idea, this will allow you the time to explore the coconut groves, rubber plantations and local villages at your own pace and also stop off at the many local eateries that Krabi has to offer. Bikes can be hired at many local outlets.
